Add your mobile site to your phone's homescreen

The new SP Network mobile sites are performing beyond our expectations, with 20% of users looking at sites on a mobile device - and with a 17% lift in pages per visit.

For today, just a quick tip on easily accessing your site of choice.. or multiple sites, as we know players play multiple sports, have kids playing sport as well, and about 50 other permutations..!

OK - For today's example,we'll use www.geelongbasketball.com.au (hope that's ok!)

Firstly, 2 ways to find your league:
1/ Go directly to your site via your mobile browser (type in the URL as above)
2/ Go to m.sportingpulse.com; select 'Basketball' and type 'Geelong' into the search.

Either way will eventually give the same result.  Obviously, big advantage in marketing / advertising your league to have your own domain name (URL).

OK - am going to assume you're there now..

Here's how to bookmark your mobile site on your iPhone

1/ Type in your domain (in today's case www.geelongbasketball.com.au)

2/ Click on the action button as shown in the image above - and you'll get the following (it is actually called the action button I've been reliably informed!):

3/ Click 'Add to Home Screen' and the bookmark appears with the league's logo on the homescreen, like an App.

For Android users (of which there are plenty) - its the same deal.  Go to bookmarks and from there, add a 'Shortcut to your homescreen).

Pretty cool, right.

As an administrator, just make sure your logo is up to date so your users get the best possible experience.
