Link YouTube to your SportingPulse Website

Hi all,

As you may have read, SportingPulse have signed a partnership with YouTube.  A coup for grassroots sport, as it means we can bring world-class video solutions to you at no cost (read more here).

As part of our offering to sport, we've built a simple tool in your Website Site Administrator that will allow you to add your YouTube channel to your Website as follows:

1/ Go to the 'Widget Manager' of your Site Admin Control Panel

2/ Add the name of your channel (e.g. www.youtube.com/YOURCHANNEL)

3/ Activate the widget and hit save - and your YouTube Channel will appear embedded in your SportingPulse Website

It's that simple!

Responsive Design and FIBA LiveStats

Jan12 update:

Hi - The 'new' LiveStats Beta continues to develop.  We've had excellent feedback, both positive and critical about the devel from statisticians, journos and viewers.  The stats suggest that the use of mobile especially is at an all-time high, so responsive design has been a big hit with the community - and mobile has been a main driver behind where we're heading.

We know there are a couple of issues, especially in terms of page refresh.
We've noticed that as the pages are now deeper, the default 30 second refresh can be a distraction.  As such, we've added the ability to have either a 60 second refresh rate, or 'OFF' (manual refresh).

Feel free to comment below- we are working on the new LiveStats on an ongoing basis and would love to hear your suggestions.

Cheers!

Dec11:

Hi all,

We're really happy to be able to share our latest release of FIBA LiveStats with you.

As you will have previously read, we have a goal to build league and club websites that render beautifully on web, tablet or mobile devices.  Well, we have a sneak peek for you that's going live tomorrow night, Dec 16th, 2011.

Our LiveStats product was the obvious starting point in which to build our responsive design templates, as we know that over 50% of you watch sport on TV(or live) with your smartphone in hand.

We've given the skin a refresh, plus now - no matter if you're on web, tablet or mobile, LiveStats will recognise your device and scale the output appropriately.

In a nutshell, if you watch LiveStats on web, it will look like this;

FIBA LiveStats - new webcast

However, if you watch LiveStats on a mobile, you will no longer get content that you need to scroll horizontally for - instead, you see content that fits to the page.  Rotate the device horizontally, and we have a little more space to give you full box scores.

We've already received great feedback from beta testing, and we've given it a run on one live WNBL game this week.

Now we're ready to lead sport in Australia - and basketball internationally with this new innovation.

We're really proud of the result.  You can participate by spreading the word, watching the WNBL through LiveStats on Friday night and using the new Facebook and Twitter icons to share the results with the basketball world.
