A new look for membership reporting

We will shortly be updating the Reporting area within your SportingPulse Membership database.

You’ll still be able to report on everything you were previously able to report on, but we have made a few enhancements - some of which have been made ‘under the bonnet’ to make the reporting function perform better as a whole - while the following list describes a few of the things that have been improved from a user perspective:

  • A new layout (user interface):

The new Reports Manager section of the database has been redesigned for ease-of-use so that people can access the reports they want, faster. For each reporting area (e.g. Members, Competition, Teams etc.) you will also be able to select whether to configure a new report with the fields you want, or to run a ‘Quick Report’.

  • Quick Reports:

As the name suggests, certain reports will be set up in the system which enable users to run them very easily – using one simple click of the mouse. Examples of these would include reports run at frequent intervals such as tribunal reports, clearance reports etc.

  • Ability to EDIT saved reports:

Previously when a user created and saved a report, they could not go back and edit the criteria used within that report – e.g. if they wanted to run the report again in the future but using slightly amended fields or criteria. We are happy to announce that those days are gone, and that users will now have the ability to not only save reports, but to edit existing saved reports.

The reason we are emailing you now is to let you know about these changes before they go live in the database, so you are aware of them before they take place and they don't come as a surprise to you.

Feel free to share this information with your fellow club administrators, or whoever else it might relate to, as it is a significant improvement to the reporting capabilities of the database.

This upgrade is scheduled to take place early next week (the week commencing 23 May 2011), so be sure to look out for it in your database!

  • If you have any questions about this new functionality and how it might affect your use of reports within the database, please don't hesitate to contact us.
