A quick heads up to inform you that this coming Monday, 31 January 2011, Sportzware Membership and SportingPulse Website administrators will notice some slight changes in their database and websites - namely the addition of exclusive club offers.
They are designed to provide users with offers that will benefit your organisation (leagues, clubs, associations), and will feature in the following two positions:
1. Sportzware Membership: A new Club Offers menu will be visible within in the left-hand menu/column of your database.

2. SportingPulse Websites: A new Club Offers banner will be visible at the top of the Site Administration Control Panel.

OMG could you people put anymore advertisements on our club websites? It is incredulous the amount of ads you people allow. I am a web designer....I think it's time I stop supporting you people and create one for the club. By the way....happy to create one for everyone else. Only $140 a year but at least it has no ads and can be custom made and professionally presented - unlike this cheap alternative!
ReplyDeleteHi - thanks for the feedback.
ReplyDeletethese ads are actually within administration sections of websites and as such, not seen by the public.
SportingPulse is funding sport by partnering with companies like Optus, Baker's Delight, OneHD and others. All of our commercial partners put up 'offers' for sports clubs that reward participants and save money for clubs.
Red Rooster is a great example of this, where they allow any administrator to award 'MVP's' to chosen players on a weekly basis. Its been very successful in terms of those using both the MVP awards and the Red Rooster trophy room.
So, we're happy to be supplying these club offers in an integrated fashion, as we believe the offers are of high value and rewards the thousands of volunterrs running sports clubs.
Cheers, Andrew
This may be so, BUT, our current club site has a Sportingpulse placed advert at the top of the page, on both sides of the page, and at the top of the right hand menu!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting that way that about 50% (if not more) of what the viewer see's when they land on our page is advertising - which in turn also dwarfs the advertising we provide our sponsors! I'm hardly doing our sponsor a service if the advert sportingpulse place across the top happens to be a competitor!
How much do sportingpulse charge to have these ads removed?
Hi Pete - we're having discussions at present in regard to better use of ad space on the network sites.
ReplyDeleteThis particular post is in regard to admin screens that have offers for administrators - and are not seen by the public.
Appreciate your comments, as we continue in this space, our advertising will become more integrated.
Pete,
ReplyDeleteI can just do the basics with my website (Mooroolbark), but I'm still at a loss to understand the need for the tiny font size which seems to be acceptable by your standards. I have manually changed the font size each time I have written something and it is driving me insane.
When I look at the transfers page I can barely decipher the names of the players. Can this be addressed?
Regards,
Mark
Hey Mark - our fonts are fairly standard sizes. If you want to publish a link here for us to look at, feel free and we'll have a look.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Andrew
Are the Rebel Sport, Red Rooster and Bakers delight valid in New Zealand
