SMS Communicator live on m.sportingpulse.com

G'day,

We launched a pretty cool new feature a couple of weeks back that has been tested by a few clients and now, is ready for use by our community.

Many of you (SportingPulse administrators) would be familiar with your ability to send email messages and SMS messages through our Membership system.  We've now created a login from our site at m.sportingpulse.com, that will allow you to login and send messages to your members if you have credits available in your Communicator account.

1/ go to m.sportingpulse.com and Login to Communicator
2/ Enter your Username and Password and you're away

So, our philosophy is 2-fold.

  1. Your club / league should have a central point of communication with your members.
  2. Your mobile is a way we all communicate, so its logical you should have this ability from your phone without incurring a personal expense - and we can also offer you a better rate to send SMS messages to your members.
As always, we're please to get your feedback about our products and services.

Cheers, Andrew@SportingPulse

SportingPulse...2 million in August?

OK - a short aside - in breaking news, it looks like the SportingPulse Network (adding International) may break through 2 million unique viewers this month.

Our office overlooks one of the great sporting arenas in the world - the MCG.  Its inspiring to think that we have 'virtually' filled an arena of its size almost 20 times over this month.

Am thinking I should borrow this footy disco ball from my friend's shop and throw an office party...

But, the actual number aside, I think what I'm most pleased about is - that 10 years in, we are still growing by over 30% year on year...

iPhone and mobile site enhancements

We’ve had a lot of good feedback about both our iPhone app and mobile site and we are currently in development of our next round of enhancements.

These enhancements cover:
  • Access to your ladders as well as full fixtures, stats and results information.
  • The ability to save searches through a new 'myResults' function (iPhone app only)
  • Integration of status updates between iPhone and Web interfaces (iPhone app only)
  • Better scaling of your sporting photos (iPhone app only)

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the mobile site, you can access your weekly fixtures and results information from the convenience of your mobile phone by visiting m.sportingpulse.com via your phone.

It’s easy to use and if you bookmark your fixtures and results page, you’ll have one-click access to the information you need throughout the season.

So stay tuned, in the next few weeks you’ll be able to save your searches to your myResults page as well as click to full ladder, fixtures and results information.

Registration Form Enhancement coming...

We've got some changes coming in the next week for our Sportzware Membership product centred around the 'home' screen.

To make our Registration forms easier to use, we’ve made some changes as follows:

  • More descriptive text to make your choices clearer
  • Improved, more intuitive interface on the first page of the form
  • Clearer instructions about what option to use
  • Interactive menu system

The registration forms themselves haven’t changed – we’ve just made it easier for people to choose the option that’s best for them to enter the form.

This should make our forms more accessible for our growing number of users.  As always, if you have questions, contact support@sportingpulse.com

The SportingPulse Network Footer

You should know we've made a change to our Network Footer today.  Basically, under our agreements with Governing Bodies of sport, we now fund our business (including your software tools) through our Network Partners.

We continue to work towards advertising and information that is firstly of relevance to you and also messages that cause less 'disruption' to your site.  As such, the change to the footer is designed to promote our partners, your sport and information and competitions we think are more relevant to sporting participants and fans in general.
